Dave Hurley is an editor and motion graphics designer working primarily on corporate pieces for Fortune 500 companies and large non-profits. He consults on post-production workflow and supports Final Cut Pro installations for major broadcasters. He has taught Filmmaking, Editing and Special Effects for San Francisco State University and is an Apple Certified Pro Trainer. He is also the editor of The Final Cut Pro Shortcutter, a blog for video editors. Dave presents webinars for New Media Webinars Inc. and his personal web page is SYFer.net.
Fergus “Gus” Hurley refers to himself as a “Video Guy” and is in charge of Sales and Client Relations. He also works as the in-house specialist in pushing the “play” button on video decks (because he likes the flashing lights and flickering timecode numbers). As head of Hardware QC, he also performs frequent blue-checks and degaussing operations on the broadcast monitors. He has (somewhat limited) experience with After Effects, Photoshop, Final Cut Pro and numerous other post-production software packages.
